MCA announces Assistant Coaches of the Year, Donna Hislop and Gary Dunn

MCA announces Assistant Coaches of the Year, Donna Hislop and Gary Dunn

MCA will honor these 2 long-serving assistant coaches at the MCA Awards Ceremony at 11:30 on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in the CMR High School Auxiliary Gym in Great Falls. The Awards Ceremony is in conjunction with the MCA Coaches Clinic.

DONNA HISLOP – Donna has served as an assistant coach for 37 years in basketball, volleyball, track and mainly tennis (31 years).  Most of her career has been on the tennis courts in Polson. Success has followed Donna as the teams that she has been associated with have accumulated 4 conference championships, 1 district, 15 divisional, 8 top 3 state finishes which include 6 state championships.

GARY DUNN – Gary has spent 31 years as a volunteer assistant to the Helena Capital softball team. The Bruins have won 8 conference championships and placed at state 7 times, winning 2 state titles. During his time at Capital High School the softball program qualified for every state tournament. His commitment to the CHS softball program goes well beyond coaching as he has made a difference in so many young people’s lives.
